The results of the Common Entrance Test (CET) 2012 will be out tomorrow (Wednesday, June 6). About 1.20lakh candidates appeared for the test that was conducted on May 20, 21 and 23 across the state.

According to official sources from the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda, who is also handling the higher education ministry, will announce the results on Wednesday around 11am. Medical education minister SA Ramdas will join the CM.

Meanwhile, KEA is all set to conduct online CET counselling for under-graduate professional courses for the first time this year.

Preliminary work, officials said, were under way. "Everything will be ready by the date announced," an official added. As per the schedule, verification of documents need to begin from June 13, 2012, and the Supreme Court has directed that admissions for medical courses should be completed by July 15.

Reacting to it, V Rashmi, executive director of KEA, said: ?Students and parents need not worry about anything. The National Informatics Centre (NIC) is working on setting up of help centres.?

As many as 12 help centres will be set up across the state where document verification will be done. Students, who have difficulties operating computer or using the internet, can seek help at these centres.

Rashmi said the KEA will follow the directions of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Medical Council of India (MCI).
